T at 3

Thank you to everyone who supplied and helped to serve the refreshments at our T at 3 on Monday.  We very much value your continued support to raise money for PTA funds.

Ted’s Big Day Out

Thank you to everyone who brought their furry friends to school today in support of Ted’s Big Day Out.  The sum of £17 has been donated to the ‘Space to Grow’ Campaign which supports the care of sick and premature babies at the RUH.

Footwear

Even when the weather is fine, the school field is still quite wet.  We like the children to get out and run around during breaktimes, but their shoes do get rather muddy!  In an effort to keep the carpets clean, could you please send your child to school with an old pair of trainers.  These can be kept in school during the week.

Competition

The school nurse visited us on Wednesday afternoon to talk to the children about healthy living.  Competition entry forms were given to the children to complete.  The closing date for the competition is Monday, so please remind your child to return their entry.

Webb Ivory

A reminder that all orders for the Webb Ivory catalogue must be given to Maria Rich by next Wednesday, 21st October in order for the items to be despatched in good time for Christmas.  Payment should be made with your order – please make cheques payable to Mrs M Rich.

Sports Training

The All Hallows Tennis Academy is open to all ages and Mini Tennis is the perfect way to introduce children to the sport.  They are also running a Junior Hockey Academy - please see parents’ notice board for full details.

Shoebox Appeal

By filling an empty shoebox, we can help to give a child less fortunate than ourselves a really special Christmas this year - details of what you can include in your shoebox are attached.   All boxes must be brought into school by Friday, 6th November so that they can be taken to the pick up point.  May we please remind you that the charity asks for a donation of £2.50 to be included in each box towards distribution and transport costs.

Bargain Books

A large selection of books is on display in the school hall, all at amazing prices.  Orders must be placed by Monday afternoon.  Cash or cheques, made payable to The Book People Ltd, should be placed in the order envelope.

Class 2 Merit Card Winner - Elly

Pigeon Holes

Please remember to check your child’s pigeon holes regularly.  Newsletters were left at school last week – you could be missing some very important news!

Half Term

A reminder that we break up for the half term holidays next Friday, 23rd October.  The second half term starts on Wednesday, 4th November.
